KAMEKO was reborn and arrived on earth July 22, 2009—the day of a total solar eclipse—ready to inspire with a unique fusion of rock, pop, soul and hip-hop known as, Evalt: evolutionary alternative music.
KAMEKO’s debut, Tired of Being Broke, fulfills its promise of Evalt with the edge of rock riffs, the adventurousness of pop sonic aesthetics, the emotional impact of soul music’s vocal delivery, and the energy of hip-hop; leaving listeners eager to receive the message.
On the debut single, “Tired of Being Broke,” KAMEKO wrestles with the despair of poverty and social economic injustice with a searing vocal delivery over a crunching rock guitar rhythm. The song was inspired by his personal struggles and observations of impoverished ghettos throughout the world.
